Experience: Responsible for Finance, HR, Legal, Business Development and general management. Led innovation across various projects and managed the sale of non-core activities.
Result: Maintained a healthy, profitable business throughout the years, culminating in a successful exit.


Some of the successful ventures
Tutor business
For me, it all began with a national tutoring business for students. Within two years, we were active at 9 of the 13 Dutch universities. The key driver of this success was our innovative approach, involving the local student community.
Experience: I developed the business concept, built partnerships, and managed the team as the business grew.
SchoolStudent
This project addressed both short- and long-term issues related to the acute teacher shortage in the Netherlands, while simultaneously creating ideal jobs for university students who wanted to work with children. A classic win-win that drove significant growth.
Experience: I was responsible for the ideation, pilot phase, and business development from inception to exit. I led the project team as we scaled to 170 employees. As we grew, I introduced OKRs to improve efficiency and maintain quality. We achieved a 4.8/5 customer satisfaction score while maintaining industry-standard profitability during this growth phase.
GMAT Amsterdam
A highly efficient test prep center since 2011, offering both online and classroom teaching.
Experience: I was responsible for product management, pricing strategy, marketing, and sales.
Careerstarter/Hellotest
I co-founded Careerstarter, an assessment training center with in-classroom training. Leveraging my online experience from GMAT Amsterdam, I shared the idea of an an online training center for assessments which became Hellotest.
Experience: I worked as a trainer for large groups (up to 100 participants) and played a key role in running the business and improving results. I exited in 2017 to focus on more profitable ventures.
